For the first time in 30 years, the Consumer Product Safety Standards has adopted new rules for Baby Cribs, which took effect onJune 28, 2011. Drop-sided cribs are no longer allowed to be manufactured, sold, or resold.
In addition, the mandate
calls for strengthening mattress supports and crib slats, improving hardware
and requiring more stringent testing.
Perhaps one of the biggest
investments you’ll initially make as a new parent, is the
purchase of the baby crib, but what’s even more important is your baby's safety. We currently offer three unique and safety-compliant crib manufacturers-- eco-friendly Atlantic, Coriscan iron cribs, and country-style Newport Cottages. If you need help deciding on a baby crib or have any questions, please contact us via email.
